COERR Mae Sot Organized Scout Camping for Life Skills Learning of Youth

   COERR Mae Sot Organized Scout Camping for Life Skills Learning of Youth in two Temporary Shelters in Tak Province during April 20-21, 2023. The scout camping organized in Ban Umpiem had 127 youth of 78 males and 49 females, and in Ban Nupo had 102 youth of 34 males and 68 females.

   The aims of the events were to encourage youths to learn and practice life skills and leadership skills. The scout program included outdoor activities, such as recreation, games and play, based on teamwork, mind test, harmony, patience, tactfulness, problem-solving techniques, etc.

   Such activities instilled in them the values of the scout such as trustworthy, bonding, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, brave, cleansed, etc.

         The learning stations through which the youth had rotated were as follows;

                 -Learning station about disaster risk reduction, focusing on fire extinguishing;

                 -Learning station about drug abuse;

                 -Learning station about waste management and sorting by 3R of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for Environmental                              Protection;

                 -Learning station about crisis and self-protection

                 -Learning station about adventurous activities such as crawling under barbed wire, knots to know; first aid; How to be                      observant; etc.

   All these activities helped youth to instill their confidence, discipline, while keeping physically strong, and possessing leadership that enhance joy and happiness among friends.
